A plain account of what cookies this site sets, why, and how you can manage your preferences. We keep our own use to a minimum — this is both a legal practice and a matter of principle.

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies have a range of uses: some are necessary for a site to function at all; others support analytics and measurement; others are placed for advertising purposes. They are read by the web server each time your browser requests a page from that domain.
On this site, we use cookies sparingly. We do not place advertising or tracking cookies designed to build profiles of your browsing habits across third-party sites. What we do use is described in detail below.
The table below lists each cookie or storage item, what it does, and how long it persists. Where we list "localStorage" rather than a cookie, the data is stored in your browser's local storage — it does not transmit to us on each request, but behaves similarly from a privacy perspective.
| Name / Key | Type | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| mc_cookie_consent | localStorage | Stores your response to the first-visit cookie notice (accepted or declined), so the notice does not reappear. | Persistent | Essential |
| _ga | Cookie | Google Analytics. Distinguishes users to measure page-level traffic, session counts, and general browsing patterns. Does not identify you by name. | 2 years | Analytics |
| _ga_[ID] | Cookie | Google Analytics GA4 session persistence. Maintains the current session state. | 2 years | Analytics |
| _gid | Cookie | Google Analytics. Distinguishes users within a 24-hour window. | 24 hours | Analytics |
| _uetsid | Cookie | Microsoft Advertising (Bing). Session-level measurement to understand which searches or ads led to visits. | Session | Analytics |
| _fbp | Cookie | Meta Pixel. Tracks visits from Meta platforms to measure whether enquiries originate from Facebook or Instagram channels. | 3 months | Analytics |
Analytics cookies are only placed if you accept the cookie notice on your first visit. Essential cookies (the consent record) are set regardless of your choice.
We do not place third-party advertising cookies or participate in ad networks that track you across unrelated websites.
We do not add enquiry form submissions to marketing lists. If you contact us through the form on this site, your details are used only to respond to your enquiry.
We do not use session-recording tools (such as heatmap services) that capture your interactions in detail.
We do not use fingerprinting techniques to identify your device in the absence of cookies.
When analytics cookies are accepted, data is transmitted to the following processors. Each operates its own privacy programme separate from ours; their respective privacy notices apply to data they receive.
Traffic and engagement measurement. Data may be processed in the United States. Google's data processing terms apply.
Conversion measurement from Bing search. Microsoft's privacy statement governs processing on their end.
Attribution for visits arriving from Facebook or Instagram. Meta's data policy applies to information transmitted to their platform.
You have three ways to manage how cookies operate on this site:
Most browsers allow you to refuse all cookies, delete existing cookies, or be notified before a cookie is set. Consult your browser's help documentation for instructions. Note that refusing cookies may affect how some sites function — on this site, functionality is not materially affected.
If you accepted analytics cookies on your first visit and would like to withdraw that, use the button below. It clears your stored preference, and the cookie notice will reappear on your next visit so you can reconsider your choice.
Google offers a browser add-on that prevents data from being collected by Google Analytics across all sites you visit. This is available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Analytics data aggregated by the processors listed above is retained according to each provider's standard retention schedules. We do not separately retain identifiable browsing data derived from cookies beyond what the analytics platforms hold on our behalf.
Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you have the right to request access to personal data held about you, to request correction of inaccurate data, and to withdraw consent for processing where processing is based on consent. For cookie-derived data that may constitute personal data, the relevant request would be directed both to us and, in many cases, to the processor directly (Google, Microsoft, or Meta as applicable).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].
If we introduce new cookies or change our use of existing ones, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Where the change is material, we will reset the stored consent preference so that returning visitors see the updated notice and can make a fresh choice.
We are happy to explain anything here in plain terms. Data protection is the work we do; these questions are not a distraction from it.
